Interpersonal Activity 1

Views of friends or family members on prejudice and discrimination

Interviewee: Father

Prejudice: The thought of someone or something is inferior to you or a general group of audience. For example, people might think that autistic children might be less clever than they are but they are just like any child, with only a learning difficulty.

Discrimination: The physical act of showing prejudice towards an inferior personal or a group of people. For example, white people have discrimination against the black people, Negroes, just because of their skin colour. They think that the blacks are their slaves. They are separated, marginalised from the common community as they are physical not allowed into restaurants containing white people in the past. Although the situation has died down in the 21st century, there are still discrimination between the blacks and the whites.
